1119825	2010-07-18 04:08:00	Provided you can find somebody in the supervisory team to confirm you were present till 10, you should (and must) be paid . Problems do occur in some businesses where people clock in then disappear for the rest of the day, so your employer is entitled to demand proof of shift completion before paying, and it is your obligation to provide that . However, they can't just dock your pay as a 'punishment' for not clocking out, at least not until after the current Government's labour 'reforms' are put into effect, following which all bets are off . 1119826	2010-07-18 04:17:00	Thanks for the advice guys, The manager in question wasn't there today but I talked to one of the nicer managers who put into the computer that I finished at 10. So looks like I'll have to wait until Tuesday to see if I get paid. Although the manager I talked to today said that I *should* get paid but I'll just wait and see.	xyz823 (13649)
1119827	2010-07-18 04:22:00	My son worked part time for Maccas after he left school. He was always assigned the graveyard shifts and often kept on for quite a few hours in excess of the allocated time. I'm talking here of working 10pm - 7am and not being able to leave until 9 or 10am. Once he didn't log out, and to be honest looked to me like he was barely awake when he got home. They threatened him no pay for the shift, then dismissal when he queried it. He left of his own accord. Some franchise owners of these McD's really do treat the younger workers very bad, we've experienced it first hand. If anything it's an incentive to get employment elsewhere.	Jester (13)

Makes more sense, but forgetting two times in a row....boss is being fair by threatening it, if he actually does it (not pay him) then that's a different story. When you have a place run by mostly young people you gotta be hard on them otherwise F all gets done and they think they can do what they want. And when you make empty threats that anyone can see through you look like a plonker and loose what little respect you thought you had to throw around. That aside, It doesn't say he forgot twice, It says he forgot, was threatened, and is asking if his manager could make good on his threat. The answer is his boss is a jackarse, I'd say call his bluff in front of everybody, Bu I am legendary for getting fired.:lol:	Metla (12)
