| 1119788 | 2010-07-18 05:56:00 | "Misleading Cases" ?? Ken That was a classic programme Ken. I cant remember who played the guy that was always in Court and who played the Judge but they were good. Ill always remember the episode where the river Thames flooded crossing a nearby road. According to the chap always in trouble this meant that the "Roadway" had become a "Waterway" and he went right about enforcing Maritime Law starting with enforcing the "Port to Port" passing rule. Hilarious. Then there was the one where he paid his Tax by writing his cheque on the side of a cow, sticking a stamp on its rump (for stamp duty) and delivering it to the IRD office. Id certainly love to get hold of that series on DVD. |

| 1119789 | 2010-07-18 06:14:00 | Z cars, some of them were recorded on my friends farm when we were kids. Rising Damp is currently showing on TV6 I think along with Only when I laugh | gary67 (56) | ||
| 1119790 | 2010-07-18 06:14:00 | Alastair Sim was the judge, Roy Dotrice the "hero", Avice Landon the missus and Thorley Walters the lawyer who always lost!! Brilliant British humour at its very best. Unfortunately, I read somewhere that the tapes had been re-used, so cannot be viewed. The one about his dispute with his neighbour about the snails coming across into his garden was another classic! ("snails on the fence top" ) The look that used to be on Alistair Sim's face, as he said to Thorley Waters ...."let us see where Mr Haddock is taking us this time". Ken ;) |

And of course: As Time Goes By" ( . wikipedia . org/wiki/As_Time_Goes_By_%28TV_series%29" target="_blank">en . wikipedia . org) Rising Damp is another fav as is the one with the family named: "Bucket" pronounced "Boo-kay!" - although the name escapes me at the moment . |
