As the middle class gets bigger so will the call for accountability.

Just a question of time.

Mmmm...but who controls the land and the means of production? The State. Yes foreign companies are allowed to operate under strict rules and in partnership with Chinese businesses but that is away over the socialist horizon from capitalism.

NZ, Australia, Large chunks of Europe.

America is a victim of its own hype and the deluded beliefs of many of its citizens, and it is in easy access to millions of impoverished people caught in dirt poor scum-holes.

I bet ya a trillion dollars if you put NZ on the border of Mexico we would be inundated in minutes, hell most of Auckland would probably be trampled to death in the pandemonium.

Winston, Haven’t had an intelligent discussion with you in years.

China is a monolith.

The state still controls the majority of the land, true.

The State is trying to encourage farmers to own their own land, and stay on it (as opposed to migrating to cities and further increasing competition for currently scarce menial/low class jobs) but monolith issues and corruption abound in this.

As in the Philippines foreign ownership of land = no go.

Which is good.

I read an article recently (possibly in the herald or some other vaguely reliable publication)

About PRIVATE housing loans for THIRD investment properties by private citizens having the equity requirements increased. (amid fears of an overheating property market)

The restrictions on foreign companies operating in china do most definitely hark back to communist values.

I see this like many in the US, as PROTECTIONISM, as opposed to Communism.

The majority of 100% private, 100% Chinese companies, merely have to pay their 17% flat tax + baksheesh.

Yes the state and the military still a hold massive amount of the total industrial production, but there is divestment.

The Military in Particular is divesting as quickly as practical, as SOO MANY of their operations are far far from profitable or efficient.

Again the monolith issue + obstruction from managerial staff

(who like Helens hairy legged girls at our ACC)

have no hope of getting a job in the real world if they are privatized.

(Which is why hairy legged nanny stopped the privatization of ACC last time)

"Beware the breath of the dragon" Napoleon Bonaparte.

China is a monolith,

Heaven forbid they try to move it to fast, and loose control of it.

Serious civil unrest inside China would be disastrous for the rest of the global economy.

Yes the treatment of Foreign Companies is away over the horizon from socialism, but the treatment of the rest of the community is much closer to a 1 party capitalist state than it is to the pre 1999 Communist China.

And just for you I speld chocked it.
:)

True, but my point was,the traffic is one way over there, which suggest a reduction of slanging is in order.

It is clear that in the west,we can produce all we desire without employing everybody, economists haven't sorted that conundrum as yet.

I agree with your views, angry(don't get angry, be happy. :D). I've been trying to get the same message across to members of this forum many times in the past but somehow, some members just refused to face and accept the reality and chose to live in their imagination. It is hard to change ones perceptions, though.

I know people like Prefect and some others do not like the commies which are understandable. But our subject matter here (and most of other threads) is not whether we like or don't like communism, it's about whether China is a true communist nation? China has long 'dumped' communism for about 30 years. It's just that China's policy is different from the western model. But the West expect every country in the world to adopt their model regardless of their different cultures and values. Sadly, some members here have been brain-washed, too.

Don't talk about Democracy and Freedom, which country in the world has 100% democracy and freedom? NONE.
