Read what the founding fathers had to say,then compare with......... The fact is that the fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history. It is the fanatics who march. It is the fanatics who wage any one of 50 shooting wars worldwide. It is the fanatics who systematically slaughter Christian or tribal groups throughout Africa and are gradually taking over the entire continent in an Islamic wave. It is the fanatics who bomb, behead, murder, or honour-kill. It is the fanatics who take over mosque after mosque. It is the fanatics who zealously spread the stoning and hanging of rape victims and homosexuals. It is the fanatics who teach their young to kill and to become suicide bombers. Take any dominant country,yes even England in it's day tend to do silly things,but take my word for it,you would prefer to live in USA than Iran. Respect and toleration are a two way trade - we are told by our politically correct masters that we must be tolerant of and respect the rights of groups who hold no respect or tolerance to our beliefs or rights, and this is not just religious beliefs but also our democratic rights and freedoms. The fanatics of the Islamic World, have a dream of a world wide Islamic caliphate, and hold no respect or tolerance for the rights and beliefs of non- believers. The so called moderates in the Moslem world who supposedly disagree with this concept, by their very silence tacitly support the idea, because when it enevitably comes to the crunch, "if you are not with us you are against us" means for many it is better and safer to go with the flow than stand up and be counted. Some who have posted, point to the outrages perpetrated by the "Christian" Crusaders, many of who were no more than soldiers of fortune. Well for those who have not noticed, the western world has moved on by quite a bit in the seven hundred years since then, and it is not realistic to judge the behaviour of that period by todays standards. The difference between the Western World and the Islamic world is that the mindset of radical Islam has not moved on in that time, apart from wanting to aquire and use modern weapons systems to aid them in their struggle against the infidel. One good feature of Western democracies is that with few exceptions they are secular and not strictly dominated by religion, unlike the Muslim nations, but since the second world war we have become soft and complaisant, and do not wish to contemplate anything that may shake us out of our comfort zone We in the West ignore the threat of militant Islam at our peril, my life has at best only a few years to run, but I seriously worry about the world my grandchildren are going to grow up to experience, and place no credence on the politically correct who preach that we have nothing to worry about because the moderate majority of Muslims do not support violent jihad. Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. |
