| 1166174 | 2011-01-01 08:04:00 | My computer made a loud noise like "CHUNG" then a message popped up saying - "Cannot retrieve privileges from Windows. System time not changed." The clock in the system tray says the correct time. I went to "Date an time" in the control panel and everything there is in order. What could the trouble be?:confused: |

| 1166175 | 2011-01-01 08:29:00 | there was an update from microsoft regarding 2011 time causing errors. could just need an update. could be a virus. | Mr_Olympia (7727) | ||
| 1166176 | 2011-01-01 09:37:00 | May have been trying to update the time automatically from an internet time server, was unable to complete that for some reason (corrupt exe/host/registry/etc file, or summat (not connected?)), possibly do some virus and/or system testing (e.g. memory, HDD SMART test/chkdsk etc). Tried a quick Google (www.google.co.nz System+time+not+changed&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a), nothing found pertaining, perhaps a deeper search? "Chung"= sound for system error? |
