1121402 2010-07-22 10:37:00 just did a speedtest.net test in FF and got the following results
ping:228ms
download:4.42Mb/s
upload:0.67Mb/s

not too bad i would think

did the same test in Chrome and got
ping:698ms
download:2.48Mb/s
upload:0.54Mb/s

how come there is such a massive difference between the two?

1121406 2010-07-22 23:14:00 Speedtest.net is a worthless piece of junk, not sure why the browser difference however, maybe something to do with ports.

I suggest testing a single source download from a fast source on each browser.

1121409 2010-07-23 02:53:00 I often wonder if the ISP's allow speedtest sites to pass through at full speed & throttle most everything else. Just a conspiracy ?
I have often seen large downloads on throttled connections will run fast for the first few M's then get slower & slower as throttling kicks in(??).
