Use it or lose it must be true.

LOL, yes . But they were Step-by-step and crossbar . When it went NEAX, he put them in and then decided he hated it all and left .

Fuuny as he was responsible for me getting into PCs, as I got more into it, he got less and less interested .

Also he says due to age his "RAM" his full now and no new info will fit .

He has suceeded in figuring out how to turn it on and off and how to charge it so far . Probably enough for day one .

Sounds more like a hard drive issue - have you tried rebooting him into Safe Mode to check for malware???

And flashing his BIOS may help too . . . . :D

1120630 2010-07-21 08:59:00 Hey it just occurred to me, it has a PC desktop thing I haven't installed or looked at, I think mainly for putting music and stuff into the GPS - but would it mean I could google his whereabouts via it? pctek (84)
1120631 2010-07-21 09:02:00 I thought there just might be an ulterior motive. Snorkbox (15764)
1120632 2010-07-21 09:59:00 GPS receivers don't transmit your location, sorry ... but you could go into settings and have it record the journeys .... Jester (13)
1120633 2010-07-21 21:19:00 Yeah I had a look. I could pay to get that but nah.
Also discovered that the Off switch isn't, it's standby, have to select reset for actual off. That wasn't in the manual!
