| 1121595 | 2010-07-23 09:19:00 | How many days off at a time do you get? We went up Northland last December and thoroughly enjoyed touring around . Would highly recommend going to the top of NZ to Cape Reinga . It's a very long way but well worth the trip and they have just recently sealed the last few km since we were there . We went from Paihia along the east coast, visiting a few bays on the way, but it made for a very long day . Much better to explore that part another day . There are some lovely places up there . Northland has got a lot to see but you will need a bit of time to explore everywhere . |

Beware, those who visit often end up staying longer than they planned(15 years in my case :D) I would suggest Jackson Bay to Karamea road trip (or visa versa) - can't go wrong on that trip. Fish and chips at Jackson Bay is an experience everyone should have. Mozzies at Karamea are also memorable. |
