Anyway, I plugged it in this morning and it spins up as usual and doesn't make any weird sounds. Compared it to a friend with the same model and it sounds the same. :/ Although it still doesn't appear in device manager. Is there any chance that the drive itself is fine, but the usb port on the enclosure has broken? I know the power is fine because the power light comes on. So is there any chance that the drive is fine but the enclosure is broken? Only have two laptops here so can't test out in either. |

| 1121001 | 2010-07-22 06:43:00 | Every possibility the Enclosure is damaged -- to find out you need to open it up, remove the HDD, either attach it to another PC, or put into another known good working enclosure, OR something Like this (www.ascent.co.nz) -- Mind you, a new enclosure may be cheaper. | wainuitech (129) | ||
