| 1120604 | 2010-07-20 05:56:00 | My Navman a older one - the Platinum Series . I just press go . Put in the address and hit go to . It then auto est . the route . If you make the wrong turn it will remind you to do a u turn, if travel far enough it would auto . make another route for you - that might mean continue going down until you make another turn etc . . I spell out the street name and after a while it would auto fill it for me . Then I click something else and put in the no . or just click middle of the street . If you already programmed the names, you just select go to or select home if you goign to home and home is already defined . After skiing, coming out of the carpark I can select home while I am driving to the carpark driveway . . . . . |

Plus it's nice to know when you are coming to a turn or intersection and how far are you to the destination and to each town .. |

| 1120610 | 2010-07-20 06:38:00 | Have a generic Chinese one running IGO Amigo which I find quite good but a bit flimsy in the build department Have updated a Garmin for someone in the past but the interface is I find dated Have in my hands at the very miniute a Tomtom one XL which I find is the pick between the 3,robust,easy to operate just slap on the screen and go,excellent with the speed zones and the warnings Tomtom support is very good with map corrections ,voices etc |

The My50 is slightly older and I got it off Trademe. SO it was cheaper. I read reviews on all the suggestions. Ultimately its for husband not me, and he'll have fits trying to figure it out whatever one it is and I'll have to show him as usual. Either that or it will be back on Trademe next week. As for the case, I decided against the spider one - which was winning all the votes (elsewhere mainly), and bought the thing I did because it wasn't as big for one thing and I'm not that keen on red anymore for PC LEDs. And they were roughly the same price anyway. |

| 1120613 | 2010-07-20 07:28:00 | I've found that I don't really look at my GPS (Navman MY30) at all when driving - I'll listen to the directions, and just keep an eye out for the street names where applicable. | somebody (208) | ||
