1121826 2010-07-23 22:58:00 Isn't Safari a part of the Mozilla Suite or somehow attached to FireFox and/or Google?

I know it's an integral part of the Apple-stuff and I might be slightly confused here - although I am never totally confused unless it's some sorta Linux-thingy that's not working, of this I am very sure . I think .

I see that the Safari 'auto-fill' part has security problems and just want to know if Safari is running somewhere under the radar in what I run .

1121827 2010-07-23 23:05:00 No, its an Apple program (a browser). And no, its not part of Google or Mozilla. Its competing against them and IE.

Its entry will be in add/remove programs / programs and features. If you installed it

Ah - then comes another question ---

I tried to charge my stepson's iPod one day through my USB and I got hit with a lot of windows jumping up-in-around my desktop and then it took me a day or two to get rid of it all .

Is this the way Apple DRMs and such work? I hoped they didn't screw around with my MP3 collection, but I had it all backed-up on another satellite hdd that I don't let run unless I am archiving files and it wasn't running at that moment, so nothing got into it anyway .

Why do people put up with this iPod stuff if it's so 'Rights-Driven' and full of DRMs?

.

Sounds like malware to me

Unless you tell it to deal with MP3's / your music files it wont even look at them

Unless you use the Store and get files off it, none of it's DRM. I use it sometimes to sync MP3's (from CD's I rip), MP4's that I get from Youtube (after converting them from flv). And to sync contacts with the Ipod here.

Never had a prob with it, or DRM (since I dont use the Store in Itunes). There are other programs around, (like Winamp, Mediamonkey but theyre not free) that can sync music to Ipods.

But, since I sync contacts as well (there are programs for this, but most of them aren't totally free, and I don't use credit cards, so cant buy anything online).

Which is why I use Itunes (in Vista that is). Since Windows 7 can play MP4 natively, Vista can't

That's not entirely true.

1121834 2010-07-25 06:40:00 Yeah - last time his iPoop tried to access all my MP3s and then was strolling through the list and deleting the graphics when I hit the kill switch.

I think I'll put his iPoop in the car and plug it into the USB/Power Port charger thing-y I got for my Sansa MPs Player next time. I hate things Apple.
