1168476 2011-01-10 01:44:00 Just a note of thanks to HP. We have Carepacks for our servers - over the break one of the SAS HDs up and died.
Rang HP this morning - hew HD on my desk less than 4 hours later.

Ok - we have a 4 hour Carepack agreement, but it's nice to know it did actually make it in the time promised.

This also happened late last year when a battery on the Smart Array Controller had an issue - new one in less than two hours.

Credit where credit is due.

1168477 2011-01-10 02:00:00 I have had issues and good sevice.

1st time round, My HDD's partition table was damaged. I recovered the main partition's continent's (apart from the OS) but the restore partition was lost. I rang HP to get recovery disks, long story short. they said No, you can't order recovery disks untill 2 weeks later. 2 weeks later and they say I am too late, you cannot order recovery disks.

Result was my turn to OS piracy. I didn't have much choice though. Since win7 came around I upgraded to a copy of windows 7 (legit)

They gave me a new A/C adapter for my laptop once, a week later my battery completely died. I don't know if that coincidental or not but I think its very unlikely. I usually keep the battery out of my laptop unless i'm using it.

Good service (EG service that worked) was replacing my keyboard twice. It took them about 2 weeks each but it got done.

EG: A replacement 22" LCD monitor arrived the day after logging the service job and also included a courier label to send the dead one back.
