I got busted by a Mokie on the beach of Waikiki for playing a ukulele without a permit . That was in 1970 or so and I bet it's gone to warrant by now and I can never go back to Hawaii ever again . I was sitting under the Moana Banyan tree, just strummin' and hummin' and this tall Five-O cop comes up and never even asks for my license (Do you have a lee-sance for your minkey?) and just hands me a citation . Every time my wife wants to go there, I tell her to just go to Long Beach California and stand on any corner in the Summer . It's the same . The confessional is OPEN - No waiting and please, one at a time . |
