My advice, work out what you want to use the computer for, work out what your budget is and then go talk to a techie that your trust.

Shop Assistant: Oh we have this one here (pointing to the sticker on the side) it's the best thing since sliced bread, all the power you will ever need.

Customer: BUT can I play solitaire ?
