Say You'll Be There (www.youtube.com): Spice Girls

1125375 2010-08-26 18:37:00 Mrs . Miller was a bigger hit in the US . ( . youtube . com/watch?v=fw07CDid0JM" target="_blank">www . youtube . com) Bigger than Tiny Tim, anyway .

Tiny Tim got married to Miss Vicky on The Johnnie Carson Show, and that was supposed to be one of the first TV-marriages ever . It wasn't though .

Then, of course, there's William Shatner's brilliant interpretation of Mister Tamborine Man ( . youtube . com/watch?v=_0hTtsqiFCc&feature=related" target="_blank">www . youtube . com) or Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds . ( . youtube . com/watch?v=V1Ar79f8aN8&NR=1" target="_blank">www . youtube . com)

Sadly, Shatner was being serious here .

We all know Mr . Spock is ALWAYS logical, ("The sum of the parts must equal the whole" type-stuff) although Leonard Nimoy was caught under a studio contract here and just had to capitulate and sing a few songs to get it all over with . It is rumored that he tried to buy all the copies, but some got out anyway . I present: Mr . Spock's: Illogical" ( . youtube . com/watch?v=6C70QRbawN8" target="_blank">www . youtube . com)

There's some recoup in his version of The Desiderata ( . youtube . com/watch?v=FHu6DW-L7EM" target="_blank">www . youtube . com), however, although I personally find it frippery and shreds the Time-Space Continuum .

Florence Foster Jenkins ( . youtube . com/watch?v=KoGElIOB9tc&feature=player_embedded" target="_blank">www . youtube . com) was another of those people who had too much money and not enough talent - make that: NO talent other than humorously so . She was serious as a heart attack about her singing, too bad she had all that money to buy her own recording time and record label .

While we're here in Oblivion-Land (right next to Upsidedown Land a little to the east) - we have to visit one more Eye-Stab of Talent .

This next guy gave up a promising career in Law and dropped out of Berkeley to pursue a full-time music career while thousands of legitimately talented, unsigned musicians quietly drank themselves to death .

This time - William Hung's - er, SONG . ( . youtube . com/watch?v=KoGElIOB9tc&feature=player_embedded" target="_blank">www . youtube . com)

Talking of Tiny Tim, here is a musical quiz . . . .

If this is not Tiny Tim singing this Al Dubin & Joe Burke song Tip Toe Through The Tulips ( . box . net/shared/junjf942gd" target="_blank">www . box . net), then who the heck is it ?
