wireless capable

Can see other wireless points

but cant see the wireless router I set up.
I changed the security of the wireless router - from wpa-psa to wep --> still doesn't show in the list of wireless points.

any suggestions?

1170173 2011-01-16 21:58:00 Bigger picture:
I had the Toshiba laptop & wireless router at home and
the laptop could not see the wireless SSID - but it could see others.
I brought both to my office and now the laptop can see the wireless SSID & connects just fine??? why?
I had the laptop sitting right next to the wireless router.
The laptop was picking up wireless access points 2 blocks away.

The only difference seemingly being the power?

1170175 2011-01-16 21:59:00 no SSID is visible NZHawk (4093)
1170176 2011-01-16 22:01:00 You need to plug in to the wireless router and have a look at what channel you are using. If it's auto, try making it something (4 for example), if it's on manual, set it to auto.

Another thought, do you know if another notebook can see your access point?
