1171429 2011-01-23 05:27:00 Ok, so tw problems.

1. If FF is running OK with no addons, ( safe mode) then its possibly one of them causing the problem.

One way to see whats happening - Open FF normally go to Tools/Addons, extensions Disable one at a time till it stops crashing - OR disable the lot, and then enable one at a time - sooner or later one will cause the problem. if it still crashes, then try the Plugins as well.

2. The reliability Monitor - have a read of Post 3 From Here (forums.techarena.in). or even a look at this (www.vistax64.com)
If thats working then it may cut down the time to see whats causing FF to actually crash. There may be under laying problems on th system that actually have nothing to do with MS Visual.

BTW - you shouldn't have "hundreds of small red dots with crosses displayed in the stability chart".

What are they - any thing in common ?

I checked out the links that you posted...but (not surprisingly) they did not work on my system.

It's becoming increasingly obvious to me that my whole system is sick and probably needs a complete windows reinstall.....as much as I dread doing this.
