1171140 2011-01-19 22:37:00 Haven't done this before, was wondering if anyone knew if there was anything unusual that has to be done, or if MYOB has a KB article on it, I couldn't find one.

It's being transferred from an XP Pro PC acting as a file server to a SBS 2008 PC, the software incl PDF manager has been installed, licensed and fully updated, in my mind basically moving the data folder over and re-sharing it should be all that's required.

Anyone done this before? Cheers. :)

1171141 2011-01-19 23:06:00 Done it plenty of times from one PC to another, but never to a server.

All that was done, is create a backup Via its own backup program, install on the New PC/install - open MYOB in its default demo mode, and from file, import backup. All data returned and working as normal.

1171142 2011-01-19 23:13:00 You should be fine with what you have described wratterus.

If your looking for KB articles look for 32457 and 32600
You will need to be logged in to get these.

1171143 2011-01-19 23:25:00 Thanks guys. :)

Edit - just doing a search for those KB numbers on myobnz.custhelp.com doesn't seem to bring anything up, I'm searching under all, all and answer ID, is that correct?

1171144 2011-01-20 09:38:00 Well that went fine, just overwrote the data folder. Thanks! wratterus (105)
1171145 2011-01-20 09:39:00 You won't see those articles unless your logged into the site.
All AO clients have a log in, or should have.
