1170959 2011-01-19 04:52:00 Recently my left touchpad button on my laptop died, leaving me with the right button only.
I downloaded and installed a synaptics program which enabled me to swap left button functions to the right.

Does anyone know if you can get some sort of program that can train your laptop to recognise one click on one button as a 'left click' and two rapid clicks as a 'right click'?

highlight whatever you want then press that button for context menu.

1170961 2011-01-19 10:03:00 two rapid clicks? probably not. maybe 3 clicks but i'd seccond what metalhaed (head :p) said, use the context button, it works in 90% of situations. other than that, buy a mouse or a new track pad The Error Guy (14052)
1170962 2011-01-19 11:00:00 Why not stick to tapping the touchpad for left clicks and use the button for right clicks? I rarely use the left button on my laptop touchpad because I usually just tap the pad.

Also, my touchscreen laptop (HP TX2-1010) uses long presses for right clicks when using the touchscreen, maybe you can find something similar. I did have a quick look on google, but couldn't find anything.
