1172507 2011-01-25 08:26:00 I just purchased a master filter/splitter to go in my phone line, but I'm not sure how you're supposed to wire the thing...

It has three pairs coming out of it;

1) Orange/White (line in)
2) Green/White (modem)
3) Blue/White (phone)

That's OK, but nothing says which way around you are supposed to connect the wires within each pair (polarity?).

For example, the initial line coming in from the street has a Yellow and Black wire. I have to connect this pair to the Orange/White pair on the splitter, but which way around to the wires go;

Yellow-to-White and Black-to-Orange, or Yellow-to-Orange and Black-to-White?

Same with the connection to the modem and phone. These both use a standard Red/Green pair, so which way around do I connect them to the Green/White and Blue/White pairs from the splitter?
