| 1172290 | 2011-01-24 15:29:00 | i tried converting my c: to ntfs using convert.exe but , it does not get converted. it says that conversion failed. i am using windows Xp sp3 I have successfully converted the other logical drives on this harddisk Is it possible that I remove this harddisk connect as usb drive to another cpomputer and convert to NTFS?Has anybody tried this? |

| 1172291 | 2011-01-24 18:58:00 | Welcome to PF1 :) Does the convert actually do the chkdsk first ? What should happen , is you give the command, when the PC reboots, chkdsk runs first, then convert runs ? |

Yes, it does reboot and run chkdsk and then checks for space, there is 4 GB available and then it starts to convert then after some time it says can't convert, boots back to windows . thanks |
