| 1172286 | 2011-01-24 09:18:00 | Could be malware. Get ccleaner (www.ccleaner.com) install it then run it. Then go to tools/startup then delete its entry. Then post a hijackthis log (free.antivirus.com). Get 2.04 Install / run this, then click on scan the system and save a log. Copy and paste the log here |

| 1172287 | 2011-01-24 10:44:00 | Thanks for that. ccleaner did wonders for my system, but did not fix the problem. More research hinted that this dll is associated with ms mesenger which I uninstalled around the same time as the problem started. I have manually deleted the "winerv32.rom" line from the registry, and it has fixed the issue. Playing with the registry is Scary Stuff!! Cheers |

| 1172288 | 2011-01-24 10:45:00 | Post a hijackthis log. Ccleaner wont fix the prob, but if that file is in startup (and it appears in tools/startup in ccleaner), you should delete its entry. So it wont run on startup | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||

I had another case of rundll error message before, tried cleaning with antivirus, CC cleaneer, but it was till there. I had no choice but do a reformat. I was not even able to delete it, saying it is being used by a program. |
