2010-08-27 10:49:00 | Not really thoughts, more like questions -- Reading the replies, two stand out. 1.this wont last long ps3 will update this within days. if you buy this and update your ps3 past 3.41 your screwed. 2.Can i get banned off PSN for this ? No doubt Sony can detect a jailbreaked PS3 - and when they ban the person /unit -- its screwed for online. I'm pretty sure you won't get banned from PSN, Sony doesn't seem to care seeing as online is a free service on PS3. I've got a hacked PSP and use it online and on the PSN and store all the time and nothing has ever gone wrong. The only issue is that you can only access the store if you have the latest firmware (by the time the hacks are released sony are close to patching them). Sony has finally figured out that 90% of people who buy/own psp's hack them so if they want to stay competitive they allow hacking to some extent. I'm guessing they'll take the same approach to the PS3.

2010-09-02 22:30:00 | An update - Last month PSJailbreak showed the world that the PS3's security model was open to be exploited, and Sony was quick to shut down the project. This week, PSGroove, the "open source PSJailbreak," has been released for the masses, giving owners a chance to jailbreak their PS3 for a lot cheaper than the $170 PSJailbreak. The code can be run on a hacked PSP, a TI-84 calculator, a $25 Teensy++ USB development board or a $30 AT90USBkey. Currently, the Teensy is on backorder and buyers will likely receive it a week or so after they order it. While the software initially had any piracy features disabled, a second build has been released with all features of PSJailbreak enabled. The software will allow for the execution of unsigned 3rd-party apps and games as well as ISOs of PS3 games. More Info (www.ps3hax.net)

More Info (www.ps3hax.net) I didnt realise the PSP could do it yet cool might borrow my mates one tonight... The Teensy and AT90USBKEY's are both sold out worldwide. I was lucky enough to purchase an AT90USBKEY from Tronix, I was going to buy a Teensy but this (www.pjrc.com) shop wanted $18 + $76USD for UPS!!! The AT90USBKEY was cheapest at Digikey (http:) @ $47 + $39NZD UPS I decided to go for Tronix as the pre-order price was only $90 with free shipping - only $4 more =) I'd rather buy from a NZ store thats only a short drive away. I'm picking mine up Monday after work. |

2010-09-12 04:53:00 | From what I have read they have not managed to get psgroove w/ back up manager working with the Iphone yet.. Last night i bought a custom-made usb board from [edited] [edited], I took it home and it only took me 5 mins to put back-up manager on there and get it working. Only cost me $75, I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to mod their ps3 - it's a lot cheaper than any other options plus unlike everywhere else they are already in stock so no 3 week wait. I also found this jailbreak game compatibility list: spreadsheets.google.com

2010-09-17 08:54:00 | My friend told me that he got an email from another website -[edited] offering a PS3 Break with good quality and better price. Hmmm…… this seems more attractive. | sophiemith (15948) | |
