1129672 2010-08-20 11:09:00 i cant stand it.
once, mum was really angry at me, and she was texting me (she uses predictive text) and it came up as "duck you you ducking a-hole" etc lol

1129673 2010-08-20 11:14:00 I have used predictive texting in the past, but dropped it when I got my first smartphone in 2003 (? - ages ago anyway). Much easier to type just waht you want to say - even if it's across a couple of text messages.

That said, I get annoyed with the iPhone because it tries to predict - and changes "me" to "mr" for some reason. Plus it uses American spellings! Wish I knew how to turn it off!!!

I hate "txt spk" for exactly the reason Solmiester states.

1129674 2010-08-20 11:43:00 Tried it, and often it ended up with crap I didn't want, quicker to tap in exactly what you want to send, AND in real english.

About the only words I abbreviate are C = See u = You.

You can always tell you when SWMBO is using predictive - she always stuffs it up and it comes out with something '"Odd"

1129676 2010-08-20 12:15:00 Nope, predictive is too slow and you have to look at the screen. --Wolf-- (128)
1129677 2010-08-20 13:03:00 Use predictive and can text blind with it, as I know what words default on my phone .

The idea of using text language makes me want to go and have a shower . . . it's so filthy!

I refuse to reply to people who send me messages in it . If you can't be bothered putting the effort in to spelling a whole word, why should I bother to correspond with you?

P . S . Woohoo, it's Friday!

I believe this is the first time I've agreed with something you've said .

1129679 2010-08-20 21:19:00 Oh im quite quick on a keyboard, it annoys my mates on irc sometimes how I can send a massive message quick nedkelly (9059)
1129680 2010-08-21 22:11:00 I have a really old phone & the predictive on it is useless, so I don't use it. My work phone (HTC Touch 2) probably has better predictive but I don't txt on it. Greven (91)
