1130395 2010-08-22 05:31:00 My Cascade is maroon in colour, and about 20 years old now and still brilliant. Replaced the waist belt last year - the old one shrank in length... Is your Pursuit purple and a sort of pink colour? I still have one, and you don't see many around these days. Leak like a sieve unfortunately, but still my fav day pack.

If I got around to replacing the Cascade, I would look seriously at anything other than Macpac. Sad really because most of my gear is made by them and I always had such a high opinion of them before they were sold. There is another NZ manufacturer - name escapes me at the moment. They make really solid gear.
PS Edited - Cactus Climbing is the NZ manufacturer. Products built like the proverbial. Are you positively sure the waist belt shrunk.? :-).
Anyway, all the best.:D

My pursuit is the 50L dark blue one, actually purchased in Canterbury England as that was my nearest outdoor store when living in England . I would not buy a cascade or the bigger torre as i'm real short and a bigger pack would be too much weight for my tiny body to carry . I have looked at Cactus and if I need gear in the future I'm sure they will get some custom from me
