1172246 2011-01-25 05:28:00 The other option is to actually configure the software. So many people simply use default settings :groan:

Open the antivirus, where it says disable, under that is configure - open the http, https, and configure it to your network to allow the IP addresses through. If you expand it out theres lots you can alter to suit.

1172247 2011-01-25 06:02:00 does that mean that I will need to have Web Access Protection permanently disabled?

No.
See wainuitechs post.
You need to play around with the settings here, start with what he said.

1172249 2011-01-25 07:57:00 Same thing happened to me. But I have ESET eversince. I have been able to connect my mobile devices (laptop, ipod, PSP) to my wifi network, but with no internet connection. The problem was with my wireless router. When I upgraded the firmware of my router, that solved my problem. Now my other devices can connect to wifi with interneet connection.

You can also check in you ESET Setup under "Change the protection mode of your computer in the network" if sharing is allowed within your home network.
