Does the convert actually do the chkdsk first ?

What should happen , is you give the command, when the PC reboots, chkdsk runs first, then convert runs ?

Yes, it does reboot and run chkdsk and then checks for space, there is 4 GB available and then it starts to convert then after some time it says can't convert, boots back to windows .

thanks

1172294 2011-01-25 02:42:00 I have had similar problems when my hard disk was near full and I could not defragment it until I created space on the disk by doing a disk clean up and then getting rid of unused programmes. Bobh (5192)
1172295 2011-01-26 02:33:00 I did do a cleanup, defrag before starting the conversion. there is around 4GB space available and the toll after evaluating for space says that it needs only 1.5gb. padixer (16191)
