| 1173778 | 2011-01-30 12:10:00 | Just installed a new modem/router (Netcomm NB6Plus4Wn as recommended on this forum (thanx, Chilling Silence)), and speed has increased from 6.4Mbps to this (ping has halved too) www.speedtest.net (http://www.speedtest.net) I am well pleased. :clap |

B3) from Telecom, supposedly ADSL2+ compliant, reported itself as such on status page. I never tried tweaking it or updating firmware though. I live about 1km from the exchange, so I always thought I should have had better speed (we are getting Whisper boxes up this way soon (Wellington North), so it may get even faster). :banana I only bought the new one for Wifi, because I also bought a netbook (chrissy pressie):). |
