| 1132046 | 2010-08-26 22:35:00 | Hi Guys As you are aware, the Securities Commision is investigating Alan Hubbard and his finance company. Many people are supporting him, and I am sure he is a nice guy, who has done some good things. But surely you have to question why a guy in his 80's who is a millionaire needs to keep working in such a stressful business. And not only that he and his wife don't have a computer and run a huge company on the lounge table. |

This financier is covered by the Government's guarantee, perhaps they "the government" have gotten the s h i t s - u p and needed an excuse to make his financial empire fail. What has been done with the shortfall on dozens of other finance company failures: www.radionz.co.nz Digby, one would hope their main businesses' are computerised! Lurking. |

And not only that he and his wife don't have a computer and run a huge company on the lounge table. And yet he managed to do better than all those other companies that went belly up?!? While the heads of those were off on their yachts, he was staying loyal to his investors and giving most of his money to charity. He is one of the most well respected people in our community, he doesn't live a lavish lifestyle like most other people in his situation would. He puts almost all of his money back into the community and helps support peoples business ventures when they are unable to get started. His financial assistance has helped many people with many different things and that is why he has the support of many. And have they even found anything wrong with him yet? Or have they just locked him out because they can? |

So far as I can see, all computers do in the finance world is help greedy prlcks to make bigger mistakes a lot faster, and to lose a heap more money for their suckers, sorry, trusting investors. The bigger the scam, the flashier the prospectus.......... If he did make mistakes, I suspect that those made by Hubbard were honest ones. However it is more likely he is simply guilty of inefficient record maintenance. Only time will tell, after the SFO have completed exhaustive forensic testing of his pencil and examined thoroughly the contents of his pencil-sharpener. Cheers Billy 8-{) :xmouth: |
