| 1131438 | 2010-08-25 04:02:00 | Well, I dont really think he did that much wrong....he kept the perk for himself instead of passing the discount onto the charity...big F....ing deal! | SolMiester (139) | ||
| 1131439 | 2010-08-25 04:03:00 | I think it's the fraud against a charity that hurts more than the amount of money he stole. This dick needs to do some 1000 hours of community work that will humiliate and degrade him, like sweeping streets and picking up dog poo, then send him to jail for the rest of his life. At 65 he probably doesn't have much longer anyway, hopefully. | qazwsxokmijn (102) | ||

At 65 he probably doesn't have much longer anyway, hopefully. I still dont see the problem....he gets say 30k worth of discounted flights a year, for him or his family to use okay. Charity comes along and says do some work for us...anyone else they would pay full fare. If he uses his discounted quota flights for the charity, where is his benefit?...He was simply getting it back...Its not like Field getting immigrants to do cheap labour (no pun intended) in exchange for a visa or Chris Carter rorting for him and his partner for all he can or the numerous other dodgy antics of past Labour ministers... |

| 1131443 | 2010-08-25 21:25:00 | I think it's the fraud against a charity that hurts more than the amount of money he stole. He was a paid employee of the charity, if he hadn't falsely claimed Parliamentary travel they would still have had to pay to get him from A to B. Unless he had to declare that he'd actually driven his own car I can't see why the emphasis is on the charities. As far as penalty goes he's lost the MP travel perk ( up to $30,000 per annum) so that would hurt. |
