1132416 2010-08-28 08:24:00 What about wearing white shoes in Spring, or a purple shirt with a blue tie,
According to Snork its ok well it aint just like wearing a burka in NZ.

Ok.

1132417 2010-08-28 08:26:00 What about wearing a Swastika on a tee shirt while looking around Bergen Belsen?
Or wearing same on an ANZAC day parade say in Ngatimoti.

I did not say it would be liked by everyone but banning might be a little extreme in my opinion.

Personally I'm sick of people who are basically control freaks saying, "Do (whatever) my way because it's right and everone else is wrong."

1132423 2010-08-28 10:15:00 I think it should be optional. But if a woman of that culture decides to not wear it, then she should be protected against any backlash or discrimination.

Great idea, I'm with it.

I do oppose the concept of the burqa (male dominance, etc), but I'd fight harder for the right to freedom of religion.

I'd equally fight for someone's right to wear a swastika.

1132424 2010-08-28 14:30:00 Metla the woman who wear burqa's are subjugated they just don't realize and need to be set free and enlightened as to the nature of their oppression.

They are acting as if they are shamed and their poor men can't stand to see a woman as she is without losing control, it's disgustingly primitive and we shouldn't allow it in this country.

1132425 2010-08-28 14:55:00 Encouraging submissiveness in women is a bad thing both for the men who enforce it and the women who go along with it. zqwerty (97)
