| 1131325 | 2010-08-24 07:00:00 | Does it matter what ethernet cable I use on my xbox 360? is cat6 compatible with xbox live? Is it faster than cat5e? | icow (15313) | ||
| 1131326 | 2010-08-24 07:05:00 | Won't make any difference to the speed but either will work. :pf1mobmini: |

| 1131328 | 2010-08-24 07:09:00 | speed is dependent on the network adapter. But gigabit will work on both 5e and 6. | utopian201 (6245) | ||

Does that still hold true?No. They're twisted-pair cables; you can bend them quite happily. As long as you don't snap the cores, you won't notice any difference in performance. Note that you don't really need cat6 unless you're doing something really insane; gigabit will run just fine over any cable rated cat5 or better. |

At high speed the cable is a transmission line, the specs say don't have bends tighter than ~25mm radius. Easier to do that than troubleshoot later. |
