2011-02-02 09:16:00 | Finally got round to replacing my Thomson TG585 v7 with a Draytek Vigor 120 and an ASUS WL-520GU router (flashed with Tomato). All appears to be working properly, except for one "small" issue (that I am aware of so far). My son (and I) play Crossfire. Since the new install (which I haven't really done any tweaks to yet), when I fire up the application the main info pane on the left of the Start button is greyed out (content.screencast.com). I suspect this is a symptom of the more serious issue, which is: When I try to join a game I get a message "Connection has been delayed (content.screencast.com)" Can anyone advise what I should be looking for? I'm 99.99% certain it's router-related as this worked fine on the Thomson and that's the only thing I have changed....

2011-02-02 09:44:00 | Have you set it up so that the Draytek is doing PPPoA -> PPPoE bridging, and then using the WAN port of the WL-520GU (Tomato) to do the PPPoE Authentication? Otherwise you'll have double-NAT and nobody likes that ....

Have you set it up so that the Draytek is doing PPPoA -> PPPoE bridging, and then using the WAN port of the WL-520GU (Tomato) to do the PPPoE Authentication? Otherwise you'll have double-NAT and nobody likes that .... Pretty sure that's what I've done - how do I check the PPPoE Authentication on the ASUS? Where do I look? I'm accessing the forum using the combo machinery, so something's working.... |

2011-02-02 17:48:00 | Go into Tomato under Basic --> Network. What is the WAN /Internet port type set to? :) | Chilling_Silence (9) | |

2011-02-02 20:19:00 | OK and its got your auth details in there then also? In which case, under the Basic status page, it should show your Tomato box as having your public-facing IP? Which means it's all setup in the ideal manner, and I'd presume its not NAT blocking it. I'd check UPnP perhaps?

2011-02-02 21:35:00 | Yup - auth details present. Nothing in the "Service Name" field, but that looks to be non-mandatory.... In the Status>Overview page it shows my Static IP address under the WAN heading... Under Port Forwarding>UPnP/NAT-PNP I have UPnP "Enabled", but NAT-PNP not...

2011-02-03 05:44:00 | I've raised a support call with Z8 Games - maybe they'll have an idea what's going on . In the meantime, I'm going to backslide and use the Thomson :( until I can get a definitive solution . Thanks guys .
