Not weird just an older PC. I used to own an AMD DX4/100 at one time. It didn't have Windows on it though. MS-DOS 6.23. It wasn't on the Internet either.

1132933 2010-08-30 12:08:00 A splitter is only required on the jack for the internet. all the other jacks in the house are connected via the phone jack on the splitter, then the internet jack.
If your modem is plugged into a splitter jack, no filters are needed at all.
If this is the case, then you need to call your ISP to send a technician out (hope you have line maintinence insurance).
Given your computer specs, are you on dial up or broadband?

That makes no sense at all. Apart from the fact that a splitter isn't seen, the question was answered in a literate manner on the previous page!

Agree with that comment, the explanation from jareemon has only confused the issue.
Do we know yet if a full install was done or are filters being used.

1132937 2010-08-31 06:21:00 Sorry my bad  I'm talking about a filter here. icow (15313)
1132938 2010-08-31 07:14:00 Well it is either a faulty filter or you have something not filtered.
As mentioned everything has to be filtered, phones, faxes, sky digital etc
