| 1133699 | 2010-09-01 10:00:00 | I have been landed with a AAD-92S AC scanner adaptor to fix. Usual problem, wires beared comming out of the power pack. Easy enough to open up & shorten up the lead but it don't go anymore. It would have shorted out but I have repaired these before & they usually still work. No sign of any blown componants, any ideas? |

| 1133702 | 2010-09-01 22:25:00 | Just read it again, I think I get it: The wire was damaged and shorted out, you removed the damaged section of wire and re-soldered it inside the adapter - However, it still doesn't work... right? I guess a fuse or a component has failed due to the faulty wire short circuit. Is it a linear or switch mode power supply? Are you getting any voltage at all or just nothing? Please post some good photos of the insides, it makes it a lot easier to figure out... |
