If you sell it to defray court expenses, some other boy-racer (or a mate on behalf of the original owner) will buy it and the car remains a problem. If you break it up and sell it for parts, those parts that are important to boy-racers will find their way onto another boy-racer vehicle and the problem just moves. If you crush the car, the vehicle is off the road permanently and you may also crush the spirit (hopefully) of the dickhead who owned it. The downside is that if they know their cars will be crushed, they will be even less likely to stop when required to by the police. |
