1176361 2011-02-08 21:34:00 do you want me to get team viewer so you can have a poke around then? 8ftmetalhaed (14526)
1176362 2011-02-08 21:39:00 Yup, I'm bored lol. Parts of it must be there somewhere, if its still running.

Get trojan remover as well (http://www.simplysup.com). If you're using 32 bit. We'll see if that picks anything else up

1176363 2011-02-08 21:44:00 Well I did get rid of it, but if you're up for some giggles go for it. 8ftmetalhaed (14526)
1176364 2011-02-08 22:36:00 No point doing anything then if its gone Speedy Gonzales (78)
1176365 2011-02-09 09:12:00 Why don't you try an online scan at Esat (Nod32). The reason you don't have any problems with Nortons is it never reports anything, giving you a false sense of security. What you don't know won't harm you! NOT. Read the forum records many, many, people have found Nortons has proved to be more of a problem than an answer. I have been on this forum for many years and the vote must be about 100:1 against in my estimation. PPp (9511)
1176366 2011-02-09 10:24:00 I used Norton for several years until I saw the light.

Now I would never go back!

1176367 2011-02-09 10:42:00 Ok well in any case, I'll continue using it until my subscription runs out in a couple of months. After that I'll hop over to nod32. 8ftmetalhaed (14526)

1176370 2011-02-10 07:41:00 Also today, the performance monitor that kept popping up annoyed me. Minimised AOE 3 times, so I just bloody disabled it. I mean, at least you can but it seems like norton's becoming one of those 'it's got a few unnecessary defaultfeatures' sort of things. 8ftmetalhaed (14526)
