1176371 2011-02-08 22:49:00 Is there another program besides Speedfan that can do a S.M.A.R.T. test?

I have Speedfan 4.42 but the hd's are not detected. The first tab of Speedfan shows the temperature readings, but the S.M.A.R.T. tab shows nothing.

Win7, Seagate hd's : 1T and 500 Gb (yes both show via Explorer, etc.)

In Windows 7 I have to run Speedfan as Administrator to get it to detect the hard drives.

Have you tried that?

We double posted. Actually for once I figured it out by :p myself.

SMART short test on both hd's show no errors.

Now running extended test which will take considerably longer...
