You can setup an ad-hoc wifi network, you may have to use something like *insert program name here when I remember it* too, it's a bit of fluffing about TBH. I've got this kind of setup working in the past, but because of the fickle nature of USB dongles, it can be annoying.
I don't know about 7, but vista wouldn't start the ad-hoc by itself on bootup, because it was a 'security risk'. You can write a batch file that runs on startup that fixes that though. |
