| 1460594 | 2019-05-10 22:14:00 | neighbours place over back is owned by a slumlord. After a long long time, he sent guys round with a digger to clear the 2m high weeds. yay!! But sadly they had an accident and hit the fence: 9605 They said not to worry, will be fixed. Then no sign of them. Contacted landlord by letter, he rang and said a whole lot of nastiness, it's just a shitty piece of tin and get f******d etc. AMI said it's half cost each, minus excess of $400. Actually they were wrong, the Fencing Act, section 17 says if damage is caused by occupier, it's 100% them. Never mind, after a few days the digger guys rang me themselves and said so sorry, will be round in the morning, got caught up with other work. And they were. Lovely guys, replaced panels and I painted the fence after. 9606 |
