1459685 2019-04-01 06:21:00 Recently read Permafrost by Alastair Reynolds.

Not the best book I've ever read and for me the last part was the point and something most reviews didn't think hard about.

However this is rather interesting:

1459686 2019-04-03 19:50:00 Ok it's a particle but seriously guys? No-one is excited about time travel being done??
Great Scott....

1459687 2019-04-03 20:40:00 Interesting article but the frequency of it happening spoils it.

This excites me more www.popularmechanics.com

1459688 2019-04-03 21:00:00 Time does not exist in and of itself, it is a human creation to make sense of reality.

ie time travel is impossible in the real world only in our imaginations can we think that it is possible.

Ken :)

I don't know, they got it pretty much 50% . . .
Yes, agree, quantum physics is so interesting . . . if I had the brain I'd study it, alas my brain doesn't handle the maths, never mind the physics .

And yes, we won't be going anywhere at 88mph or such, but it's still cool .

In fact I'm wildly jealous of their PC too . . . . imagine the possibilities . . .

1459691 2019-04-04 01:20:00 It's all pretty cool but hardly time travel in any real sense. And even if it did travel back in time how do they confirm it? do they record the results before doing the experiment :) dugimodo (138)

1459693 2019-04-04 08:46:00 Just watch Star Trek -- They do it several times - Easy peasy.

Only missing a few things in real life - 1st being a star ship with Warp Drive :D Dont think the space shuttle will cut it some how :(

1459694 2019-04-04 20:01:00 None of these TV shows have addressed one issue.
They zoom about the universe at FTL, starmap xxx, whatever...how exactly do you navigate?

Remember what we see in the sky happened a long, long time ago. The further away something is, the older the view we have. Warp speed whatever, you head off and recognise nothing at all.

So how exactly are they finding their way about?
