| 1457283 | 2019-01-12 19:56:00 | Good morning, I have an iMac, mid 2011, I bought this stick of RAM yesterday ( www.corsair.com) which is a 4GB RAM stick however the Mac is only displaying 2GB. I have 2GB in the remaining slots. I do feel with this 4GB stick that the computer is definitely faster!! Anyone know what is going on?? |

| 1457284 | 2019-01-12 20:41:00 | Try it with just the new 4GB, since the other slot has 2GB already, remove it. Some reasons memory doesn't detect are, Incompatible, bad RAM module, faulty / Dirty Slot on the motherboard, firmware issue. Some Computers can be really particular about what memory is used. |

Hey hello, yeah my understanding was that it was 4GB, I’ll just put up with it until I can get two same modules of ram 2x 4GB, that will solve the issue for sure |
