1460263 2019-04-30 03:24:00 What will we do whilst we wait 40mins for them to refuel?

Breath in some pure air and think boy it sure is quiet.

Granted, EVs' don't go far on a charge, but things will improve, just like petrol driven vehicles.

1460264 2019-04-30 03:40:00 I think if you are going to impose restrictions so that the race is down to driver skill then really you should take it all the way and have everyone driving the exact same car.
.

Or at least stop pretending they are related to the `~production~ road versions that we can buy at the local dealer.
Have it as the actual road car, from the main (not limited) production line.
Only allow a roll cage . Suspension, tyres, engine & brakes (and weight) must not be altered . That would sort out the best from the rest.

And have them towing a boat during the race. Thats what V8's are for :-)

1460265 2019-04-30 03:48:00 I tried watching them Lurks, but, nothing sounds quite like a petrol engine built for racing.

Ken

Ken, when our daughter spent time working in Aussie, she brought one of them back, his home was in Bathurst of all places'.

Didn't take long for us to get peed off with watching those big noises, including the boyfriend.

Glad you enjoy it tho.

1460270 2019-04-30 23:00:00 Hard to believe that nimble Nissan Skylines can't beat lumbering Ford Mustangs hands down. I thought American muscle cars have been known to have bad handling as a rule. zqwerty (97)
1460271 2019-04-30 23:23:00 Well Nissan held the track record at Bathurst for 19 years.

"The R32 GT-R was untouchable in 1991. Richards and Skaife finished first and second respectively in the Australian Touring Car Championship before going on to record a dominant victory in that year’s Bathurst 1000. The crushing performance of the car was underlined by its overall race time – 6 hours, 19 minutes and 14.8 seconds – a record that would remain untouched for 19 years."
