| 1459549 | 2019-03-29 06:44:00 | insects can get resistant to the sprays. if one spray doesn't kill it don't bother using any more. one way to get around that is to use a different mix. manufactures often change the mix. but also some use slower killing sprays. ones that are a bit harder for the insect to get resistant to. |

| 1459552 | 2019-03-29 19:34:00 | www.consumer.org.nz Includes recommendations on best brands and: Whats in them? Synthetic pyrethroids, such as esbiothrin and tetramethrin, or natural pyrethrin, which is made from a species of the chrysanthemum plant, are the main active ingredient in fly sprays. These knock down agents interfere with a flys nervous system, causing paralysis. A flys digestive system can break down these ingredients, which is why some recover. For this reason, some products also contain synergists, such as piperonyl butoxide or N-octyl biocycloheptene dicarboximide (MGK-264 for short). Synergists dont kill the flies but delay the breaking down of the active ingredients, giving them longer to work. |

That's we we been using for the last few years, they work well, put a few around the house, esp if theres certain areas the fly's like to gather, always a party on the fly strip :D Leave them up for a few months then pull down and replace if wanted. We got them from Bunnings. www.bunnings.co.nz Just wear gloves when unrolling the sticky stuff gets everywhere and bloody hard to wash off. |
