1459223 2019-03-19 11:12:00 Like some other on here I used to do a lot of AA re-charging.
But I found it too tedious and time consuming, and a I bought a good charger with a test function.
But that did not seem very consitent
I also had to thrown batteries away well before their rated re-charging times.
So I stopped using them.
And I just buy some from the supermarkets or the warehouse etc.
If you buy them in bulk they are quite cheap.
So I have two or three charges available.

get one that you can set the charge rate. No point in cooking Niamh's when you're not in a hurry to get them charged
Im pretty sure the LSD/'ready to use' needed lower charge rate than the old school niamh's

Readout is more features, depends what you want, they might cost more though. On some NZ forums some guys like this one.

I had a LaCrosse charger myself with LED readouts I was good in a geeky way but after a while I didn't care much. If the batteries go dead you just replace them anyway. They only last a good few years. With digital cameras, smartphones, laptops now having their own special battery I don't find much to charge batteries now - my Nikon flash unit. The TV remotes etc are much cheaper to just use disposables.
