1456870 2018-12-30 09:35:00 Won't there be a Realtek HD audio manager present to check/change settings and options? kahawai chaser (3545)
1456871 2019-01-02 01:32:00 The motherboard has realtek Audio and that's the driver you should have downloaded. All the devices you have shown in your screenshots are AMD display Audio which is for the HDMI connection to a TV or monitor.
If you are trying to use speakers or headphones you need to set the default audio device to be the realtek audio device, might be named something like HD Audio. However I don't see it in your screenshot, is it possible you disabled the onboard audio in the BIOS inadvertently ?

After checking, I can confirm that the onboard audio has already been enabled. What driver should I download? Here are the specs: valid.x86.fr

That's what I've already done. After downloading it, do I launch setup.exe or Asussetup.exe?

1456875 2019-01-04 04:35:00 Setup.exe, that will actually run the install options, then follow prompts.

Installing the driver seems to do nothing.

1456877 2019-01-04 05:26:00 Short answer: I fixed the problem. Solution coming soon! Richienb (17661)
1456878 2019-01-04 05:39:00 TLDR: I fixed the problem.

This is how I did it.

First, I realised that a driver wasn't working correctly:
Screenshot (lh3.googleusercontent.com 5VCNO1qU-TzqySByyi_H016UVme98TyY-ubL7PySlrDGtupKngcq3rXj3fxymJUGJ3FUzB9BncASEh3WKYP ZI7d06dXyMwk8FAx3bcwV7oCP0-vtCrzLnnI28cly3ql_lqQvPpir5XbXWlb3e6Hu_OdSada1OWeD J4yLqeeW3rIdYyQ5GFB5rP3y18qoJSAWQljqGZVRtarROqTGxd jJLrjY13xkDNr_ERk3NbWpltwrhyZWC8sO48_d-tO5FSUMW_I63JD3IneM7qenxofmu_DiXJT9NRQHy9jL8AT6Gam FhVRJZykfqF5l4w0kWx1WKoi35-_Uuvm8aZ4E0Sph1fWnrCRfpuY-njD-hD0e8f9XdUwAP59Pztq1YZTGFVE83OQoIR3ZlJEOgj-QPfDqnC9t1nEdE0kPqZZmMOE6SxdAg8RWIlUORagGC9IPIus1K jOYMFRal6Wyjj0IlOpSBB5-tLiTvbdDBBxiy7aLahLCWdzR6rxyzC7ysmC56c6kMAThus_Evl hHAGh66JFmLNj3S-e6bStDAOtzW3l48qk0uJ3Kkvqtqt6XNBVskYkrixv0LMuP4UA_ nCxhqMNkhmXTs9yC-hpRWr5Sg-uQ=w803-h862-no)

I then opened the properties to see the driver's signature wasn't verified:
Screenshot (lh3.googleusercontent.com OQo6lkHao01Iz9yaaSblcGNcNKUsZOOPrYp1z3TnFNXPnpsbcr C5T_Day1v5R9o4vNtaMQQE8JdJcZa3qm0wZhg2pKf8Yw_fezw7 4xMlFuEb2VTm2bquPLfbZjTKulD7HlT84N6etLOQYLI5H7uLLG LrZZku1F0pDGDWUpgHsPP1yTWr2PanU_HS8x6iJbzzqJvM8cWV LJNTAkDSb6xbpJ85C-sFjABywW41CSAMErmTBJQC7kmnYB-8IJKMm9gAFSFWQsKE5TWgAbg95_zZl7iFwpcWuqTw0U2n1R5av Um-4WaDQlWTtEjih-_FN91XXNB94LT9Oha1SBjwjrM7gO4maY-TTjBgQ8VUbZOKsG2QdwXMcjFvcSGZMb2sNRCb_E80upVgNe7zz yVAM_uCzABDFjhGeGvvoUb_g2KBABombLtEBKrD6R0y_BmaxUd AQAjS3GlCsOSR_kTJWWgSs7xIsLb7XSSm753K5GZd2G89PwcqV V6s_Zmm0D0eItlUM6zLvlhfmuxYjyDSjj61nZ5Sn752nIsDslX Bmsi2wMdkZEj8N1DsgmrfRR5LLUMTEOoLoiFFzHZT-rjij06ovTDSo-wA=w400-h455-no)

Then, I tried updating it and selected the "browse my computer for driver software option:
Screenshot (lh3.googleusercontent.com j_HzF4M4eOCEpRNhQuzyftjcMIK2FlfPxyw8qJfH4MHMMZ1Ekb W9S4--3KYQ_vIHf1ad6LyzuCzem051tRWxhZFlrhFWGFRcMROsLZrZ-jmFWOBjGdwcNFz2JMBzvegrDqOw5ECwjSLciH-dq5IVZiOwsfTAKq93Oysi2oEr9sbXAsRp-LfXNY8A9QNBz8tMJr428M8hHWXlLbSAe218JDfI5FrcnQMDQ5T kLKsxNlpdDAI1DpWNcQp-RcEz3cJULP4bKIivuwMu_Gu9WxzD-I4An-iw4FTDKl61NjZOzi5Xv3UpKnVfzgoXORjg3Mu1eVM55sBbl0uJ 9d78jFYKbnOF7Dl5-VqCrp_St3BhM7g0T3sZ-fuPOreX6tyDe6F1aViI0wuqXZDlUtMbhGWIG9YqgJfFbY-5120YQ95-rRnHflWaFifwS-sciQudEK_9ts0ciZAWt0_sxlpQMasLfwbVaUKhx5mFmIMjoHLg yOQRe9lmU1CSghZz6FKzi7mWKaGFjalIBd7RtnTygmWsqA4IS-Zg2NBE76nOK0D-kGS3rvSHuU0MoZUvvBGg=w614-h454-no)

I chose the "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer" option:

Then I chose "High Definition Audio Controller" instead of "Realtek High Definition Audio Controller":

A few clicks later and I was done!

1456879 2019-01-04 05:47:00 Good you go t it fixed :)

It was actually posted in #8 to check the Device manager which is what is shown in the above post.

Usually this happens when for some reason the driver didn't install correctly in the first place.
