2011-02-09 01:57:00 | I've got a friend who is a graphic designer who I email regularly and did so as of last night without any problems. She sent me a pdf proof of my new business cards this morning and that came through fine, but when I tried to reply, I keep getting this message: Recipient address: [myfriend].co.nz Reason: Server rejected MAIL FROM address. Diagnostic code: smtp;550 5.7.1 External client with IP address 203.97.37.64 does not have permissions to submit to this server. Visit support.microsoft.com for more information. Remote system: dns;mail.tbhub.co.nz (TCP|203.97.37.64|46647|125.236.74.4|25) I tried sending emails from other email addresses I have but encounter the same problem each time. I checked the site but it said "To resolve this issue, contact the receiving organization. Then, request that it add your mail server's IP address to the IP Allow list of the Exchange 2007 server that has IP address-blocking enabled. This action will make sure that anti-spam filters are bypassed for e-mail messages that are sent from your mail server." Why have my emails suddenly started being rejected? Any ideas how to fix this? Or does she have to contact someone (her ISP?) and have my mail server address added to it?

The one I sent her yesterday went through fine, but the one I replied to today bounced back and every one since then has as well - even from different email addresses/providers and by emailing her directly rather than replying to one of hers! Bizarre! We do a lot of work together so we're going to have to get it sorted! |

2011-02-09 02:14:00 | Is this email at home or work? If its at home, she may have to get in touch with her ISP to see if they're having issues. Or find out what AV program theyre using. Or ask them if they've installed anything lately related to checking emails. It maybe stuffing something up / blocking them

2011-02-09 02:25:00 | Are you with clear/telstra? That ip address maybe a blacklisted ip address. And it does sound like her ISP is blocking your emails | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2011-02-09 02:30:00 | It's her work email but she works from home. Just sent her that info by text so at least we can communicate on some level! | Beemer (6956) | |
2011-02-09 03:03:00 | I just rang TC and they have logged the problem as the guy got me to send her one via the Paradise web server but it also bounced back - but not through my Gmail or other web server addresses. So she can email me but to reply I have to not do it through Outlook or Paradise! I hope they get it sorted as it's a pain in the proverbial! | Beemer (6956) | |
2011-02-09 03:19:00 | You can send Gmail from Outlook if you want. Outlook 2003 (mail.google.com). Or Outlook 2007 (mail.google.com). The settings are probably the same for Office 2010. And if you want to use your Gmail addy, forward emails from it, to your normal email addy. Then you'll receive Gmail emails in Outlook | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2011-02-09 03:35:00 | It is her mail server that is rejecting the connection from the TC smtp server. It (the TC server) does currently appear to be on a couple of blacklists, including Backscatter.org (wont be the only ones given the current storm of bounce spam) & SORBS (which is a useless POS and I will bludgeon with their own keyboard anyone I meet who uses it). What is her domain name? (if that is not too identifying to post)

2011-02-10 08:41:00 | Sent her an email today and it went through fine so all sweet. Her business is Mixed Media Design and that is the domain. I have a Gmail account but don't want it downloading to Outlook as it's where I get video files sent so they don't take forever to arrive in my inbox! That way I can leave them there until I have time to download them.
