1177499 2011-02-14 04:33:00 well cant see why it would crash if everything is on auto. And you dont change the settings too often Speedy Gonzales (78)
1177500 2011-02-14 04:33:00 okay well ill try speedy's idea of pulling out the ram and try an install with each of them, ill also download memtest to see if it gives me any more info than the windows one did, and hopefully that will fix the issue. are the voltages/frequeny the ram is running at bad in any way? smithinator (15240)
1177501 2011-02-14 04:35:00 i loaded the fail safe defaults and i dont believe anything changed smithinator (15240)
1177502 2011-02-14 04:57:00 I'm thinking that possibly if the RAM is high-performance stuff it might be unstable at slower speeds.

You should try upping the speed to 1600mhz and voltage to 1.65v, see if it becomes stable.

1177503 2011-02-14 05:02:00 I'm not sure how to adjust anything like that so ill try the ram thing then, if that fails, take it to someone who knows how to do that sort of thing. smithinator (15240)
1177504 2011-02-14 05:14:00 Is the ram supported by this mobo? Speedy Gonzales (78)

1177506 2011-02-14 05:26:00 So did you check the memory support list on the GB site. To see if yours is listed? Is it single or double sided the ram?? Some mobos are fussy on what it'll take Speedy Gonzales (78)
