You'd have to go into Control Panel - Power, and change all the sttings for each item to really have it disabled. I have seen numerous dodgy power boards where a PC will not start but other items plugged in are going. Last week in fact., People had decided the elderly desktop PC had died. I unplugged it from power board (which also had a TV plugged into it) and plugged into the wall - voila, it's alive! I own a suspect one. It has 4 sockets, 3 work fine. the 4th doesn't - that is whatever I plug into it won't go. I should probably throw it out, who knows what might happen later with it. |
