It is a simple choice, if the box is unopened it won't have a scratched screen or any othe other ailments a used item might have. If the price is good and within your budget, and you like the spec, buy the thing. If you are still nervous, get that friend to pick it up and only hand over the monery if it is as descrinbed i.e. still sealed in original box.
